Right up my street
So week 2 of the second year seems to have very quickly come round!! It has been an exceptionally busy week at work and home so a change of scenery was very much enjoyed. This week our subject is hospital discharge! Yes, this is my knowledge base, this is all I have done since moving into social care, I should know this. This is my comfort zone so I was looking forward to this session, and I wasn't disappointed! I felt able to contribute throughout with my own knowledge and experience and really enjoyed the session. My main reflections upon my feeling down this week's session are: 1. There are always things that we don't know about our own specialities (I didn't have a clue that LA'S had to apply for easement of the Care Act requirements during COVID). 2. Being in your comfort zone often isn't the best thing for you and your development.
